About Geelix

Geelix is a research project performed at UC Berkeley and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. The project is sponsored by Gridmedia and the Research Council of Norway. PhD Candidate Ole-Ivar Holthe is the Product Manager for Geelix.

We wish to propose the Geelix Experience; an experimental new approach to browsing, playing and sharing gaming experiences, extending the latest in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) Research, hardware-accelerated graphics and streaming video technologies. Geelix provides the best in high quality, cutting edge, streaming video and rich media playback experiences on the Web.

Objective

Hardware Accelerated Effects provide the ultimate in high-quality streaming video and graphics, using the High Level Shader Language (HLSL), the Shader Assembler, Effect Files, and the GX API.
